We meet or beat any price on an apples-to-apples basis (same brand, style, size, color, quality) .. except for disaster or going-out-of-business prices. This means we meet or beat internet, catalog and physical store prices. FOB your front door. Our price aggressiveness... it's why we sell so much luggage, furniture and jeans so fast, for few key examples.
Very Durable ... But Why??
Same Location ... 48 years ... in one of the most demanding retail environments any economist might ever have dreamed up? Why so long? Well, we think because:
- We are very intentionally fine-tuned to the ways Los Alamos works, plays, travels and lives. And 48 years means that 'fine-tuned' is real.
- Our very high personal service level flows from a natural can-do attitude.
- Sense of value... our prices are in the mid-range for all the categories of goods that we carry. (Higher sometimes, but only when functionality or durability calls for it. That is, we won't carry furniture that will fall apart in dry climates. We won't carry outerwear that's cheap.)
- We're actually large! Much more so than it appears from the street. In fact, we are five levels covering 23K sq. ft., considerable territory. Thus, we have always been larger than any of the several chain competitors that have appeared here and dissappeared over time.
